India is a country of diverse culture and traditions with varied geographical areas where you can enjoy from the best of architectures, best of landscapes, beautiful backwaters, aromatic tea gardens, mighty Himalayas to the golden sand deserts everything. So, let’s explore the top 10 visting places of India.

Agra

Agra is one of the three places included in the Golden Triangle tourism India can be visited by Indian Railways with Delhi and Jaipur.

If you are going to visit Agra then the major attractions includes The Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all of which are under UNESCO World Heritage

Taj Mahal is a marvelous piece of architect, built near the banks of holy river yamuna in the Agra city of India. Taj Mahal is built by the Emperor Shahjahan in the memory of his third wife.

Taj Mahal is specifically appreciated about the white dome at the peak of the mausoleum. Many of the precious stones were ripped off from the walls of the mausoleum by the Britishers ruling at that time.

Taj Mahal is a reflection of finesse artwork made by the combination of Islamic, Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indian architectures.

Agra Fort

Agra Fort is a massive red sandstone structure built by the first Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 on the banks of holy river Yamuna in the Agra city of India.

You will be surprised to know that Agra Fort was primarily a military structure but later transformed by his grandson Shahjahan in to the palace by changing most of the red Sandstone with the white marble.

Agra Fort has far more magnificent piece of architecture than Taj Mahal but somehow it was not appreciated that way. Agra Fort is built by 1,444,000 workers who took 8 Years to build up the massive architecture.

Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri is a historical city located at a distance of 40 km away from the Agra city in Uttar Pradesh state of India. Fatehpur Sikri was initially known as Fatehabad, was built by Emperor Akbar when he moved his capital from Agra to Sikri ridge and which served as a capital from 1571 to 1585 for 15 years.

Fatehpur Sikri is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a fine art work of Mughal times. The famous Fatehpur Sikri grand architecture includes Buland Darwaza, Navratanas, Jama Masjid, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, Tomb of Salim Chishti and the house of Akbar’s minister, which are of high tourists attractions.

Jaipur

What a city it is, the forts and palaces will make you feel never less than a king or a queen. Amber palace or Amer palace in Jaipur.
Here, is the picture of Amber fort that has massive architecture. This is one of the best tourist attraction in Jaipur.

Amber palace has Sheesh Mahal inside and has beautiful intricate marble designing which is a treat for your eyes to watch.
Earlier you might have seen the pictures on Google but after watching them in front of your eyes is just unbelievable. India has finest of art and culture in the world.

Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur

The next being, Nahargarh Fort is situated in the hills and it was believed Nahargarh once formed a strong defense ring for the city.
The intricate designing in the walls with the colours extracted from leaves and flowers.The place is famous for the puppets, decorating attires, Jaipur handlooms and much more, all were in my bucket list.

Albert Victoria Museum, Jaipur

Albert Victoria Museum, Jaipur has 16 galleries inside that includes antique items.
The museum gets its name from the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, because of the similarity of architecture.

The Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar is an observatory that has the unique collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments

City Palace in Jaipur

How can I forget to add City Palace of Jaipur ,The Palace once regarded as the location of religious and cultural events.
City palace now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, and continues to be the home of the Jaipur royal family. Specifically to admire is Mayur Dwaar in the City Palace of Jaipur.

Hawa Mahal, and Jal Mahal are also the major tourists attractions of Jaipur.

Delhi.

In Delhi you will find everything from rich historical architectures like red fort, Qutub Minar , street food of Chandni Chowk to shopping in Janpath.

Red Fort in Delhi

Amongst the most famous tourists attractions the first one to visit is Red fort in Delhi. Red fort was actually made up of limestone that was white in color built up by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, but due to chipping off, the Britishers afterwards, painted it with red.

And that’s what we call it Red Fort now. Red Fort is included in the UNESCO World heritage sites due to its cultural and historical importance.

Qutub Minar in Delhi

The tallest minaret is in Delhi, Qutub Minar, is the tallest brick minaret in the world at a height of 72.5m also comes under UNESCO World heritage site.

There are 379 stairs inside the tower of Qutub Minar that leads to the top of the minaret but visitors are not allowed to climb up due to safety issues.

The five hour exciting drive overlooking the magnificent Himalayan Ranges with Tea Gardens on both side of the road imparts impressive view. So, a visit to a Tea Garden in Darjeeling is must to do and definitely bring one of your favourite tea flavours.

After that we visited Himalayan Zoo, the famous Japanese Temple, Rock garden, the Tibetan Handicraft Centre. Meditation Bowls, bells and Buddha paintings and Statues are the perfect things to buy from Darjeeling and Gangtok.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway

The foremost thing to do in Darjeeling is to take a ride in the Toy train, I mean Darjeeling Himalayan Railway that climbs from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling which is also included in UNESCO World Heritage sites.

City of Lakes Udaipur

Udaipur, the city of lakes is mostly referred as the most romantic city of India due to the palaces and monuments which are built in and around Udaipur adds a romantic look to the royal infrastructures.

You can visit the Udaipur city palace which is a white marble structure located in the middle of the lake. Mostly all the Royal palaces of Udaipur is made up from the white marble, that’s Why Udaipur is also known as the white city of India.

Moreover, boating in Lake pichola during the sunset watching the beauty of royal palaces lying in the surroundings is the most mesmerizing experience for the tourists across the world.

There are about 5 lakes present in Udaipur, amongst which I have visited the two famous ones namely lake pichola and fatehsagar lake.

Saheliyon ki Bari is the another popular tourists attractions in Udaipur in the Rajasthan state of India which is famous for the lotus pool, lush green garden, fountain and lighting too.

As Mount Abu is the only hill destination in Rajasthan so, that can be visited along with Udaipur. Mount Abu is famous for the World famous Dilwara Jain Temple. However watching sunset at Nakki lake also offers you most nostalgic views.

Beaches and Churches of Goa

The place where you can find from flea markets, seafoods, trance parties, exotic beaches to local and international fashion Industry.

Goa has unique blend of Portuguese and European culture. Goa is world famous for their pristine beauty of beaches and lush green western ghats running through out the region.

Tsongmo Lake in Sikkim Tsongmo or Changu Lake, is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim of India which is about 40 kilometres away from Gangtok on the Gangtok-Nathula highway.

Here you can enjoy the magnificent Tsangu Lake View when elevated by ropeway and if you find the snow in the month of June in India, then definitely the trip is going to be a magnetic one.
