Fatehpur Sikri is a historical city located at a distance of 40 km away from the Agra city in Uttar Pradesh state of India. Fatehpur Sikri was initially known as Fatehabad, was built by Emperor Akbar when he moved his capital from Agra to Sikri ridge and which served as a capital from 1571 to 1585 for 15 years.
Fatehpur Sikri is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a fine art work of Mughal times. The famous Fatehpur Sikri grand architecture includes Buland Darwaza, Navratanas, Jama Masjid, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, Tomb of Salim Chishti and the house of Akbar’s minister, which are of high tourists attractions.

City palace now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, and continues to be the home of the Jaipur royal family. Specifically to admire is Mayur Dwaar in the City Palace of Jaipur.
