Last year, when we visited Darjeeling and Gangtok in Sikkim for the first time, we were really get amazed by the natural beauty of our North Eastern India.

What I believe, if human invasion is less in our vast natural resources then they will certainly uphold their aesthetics.

Gangtok
A famous hill destination in the north eastern region of India but new for us to explore. Gangtok mostly comprises of Lakes, mountains and specially a glimpse of the third highest peak Kanchenjunga.

Gangtok is a hill town enriched with Buddhist culture and as a symbol of Gangtok, colourful prayer flags waving high always stealing the attraction of tourists.


Tsongmo Lake
Tsongmo or Changu Lake, is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim of India which is about 40 kilometres away from Gangtok on the Gangtok-Nathula highway.

Here is, the magnificent Tsangu Lake View when elevated by ropeway and if you find the snow in the month of June in India, then definitely the trip is going to be a magnetic one.


Darjeeling
The curvy roads of Darjeeling with colourful flowers blooming all around in the greens on both sides of the road will make you feel not less than in Switzerland.

We thoroughly enjoyed the days exploring the magnificent scenic beauty of Darjeeling.


Darjeeling Tea Gardens Darjeeling is world famous for their exotic Indian Tea Estates for their huge range of varieties and flavours.

The five hour exciting drive overlooking the magnificent Himalayan Ranges with Tea Gardens on both side of the road imparts impressive view.

This is the first thing that attracts you after coming to Darjeeling. So, a visit to a Tea Garden in Darjeeling is must to do and definitely bring one of your favourite tea flavours.

After that we visited Himalayan Zoo, the famous Japanese Temple, Rock garden, the Tibetan Handicraft Centre.

Meditation Bowls, bells and Buddha paintings and Statues are the perfect things to buy from Darjeeling and Gangtok.

Our stay was at Little Tibet resort, reflecting the culture of Tibet in a miniature form and we really appreciated the theme.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway The foremost thing to do in Darjeeling is to take a ride in the Toy train, I mean Darjeeling Himalayan Railway that climbs from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling which is also included in UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Buddha Park of Ravangla
Buddha Park of Ravangla features a 40 m high statue of the Buddha in the center of the park and the serene vibes will take you more closer to yourself.

There is a high statue of Buddha as a centralized piece of about 130 feet in the Buddha Park of Ravangla in Sikkim district. Incredible India!

The site comes under the large religious complex of monastery. The monasteries are of high prominence under Tibetan Buddhism.

Namchi in Sikkim
Namchi in Sikkim is situated at an high altitude above the sea level. Namchi is fast becoming a tourist spot and pilgrimage centre and the place has famous Akshar Dham temple.

Here, Char Dham and Twelve Jyotirlings of the Hindus have been replicated in this worth watching complex to benefit the devotees and tourists.

Though it is difficult to capture the natural beauty of our beautiful North Eastern himalaya but as a human behavior we try to grasp everything that draws our attention.

Ban jhakri waterfall is high and located in a landscaped park with forested area at about 7kms from Gangtok town. If you have the traveling tiredness then here is the best place to relax.

Tsungu lake After then we proceeded towards the visiting places of Gangtok and the first site to be viewed was snow laden valley called Tsungo Lake which is 40 km away from Gangtok darjeeling-and-gangtok
